Introduction to the Finite Element Method by J N Reddy
Louise Polmar begs her former nanny to care for her baby then she flees. Ella grows up unaware that she is one of the Polmars of Porthminster Hall. Ella tries to uncover the truth about the fate of her mother, but there are dark secrets at Porthminster Hall and as Ella delves into the mysteries of the past, she finds herself in mortal danger. The same mortal danger her mother fled from more than 20 years ago?.Dr. Reddy is a Distinguished Professor and the first recipient of the Oscar S. Reddy Award. Texas A&M University's Wyatt Endowed Chair in Mechanical Engineering is located in College Station, Texas. Dr. Reddy worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the University of Texas at Austin, a Research Scientist at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, and an Engineering Professor at the University of Oklahoma from 1975 to 1980, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University from 1980 to 1992, and Texas A&M University since 1992. Dr. Reddy has written over 300 journal articles and 14 textbooks on theoretical formulations and finite-element analysis of problems in solid and structural mechanics (plates and shells), composite materials, computational fluid dynamics, numerical heat transfer, and applied mathematics. He was the inaugural recipient of the Walter L. Smith Award for Distinguished Faculty Performance in Research, given by the University of Oklahoma College of Engineering in 1984.
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) awarded him the Huber Civil Engineering Research Prize in 1985, the Virginia Polytechnic Institute Alumni Research Award in 1985, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) awarded him the Worcester Reed Warner Medal in 1992 and the Charles Russ Richards Memorial Award in 1995. Dr. Reddy is a Fellow of the American Academy of Mechanics (AAM), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the American Society of Composites (ASC), the International Association of Computational Mechanics (IACM), and the United States National Academy of Sciences. The American Society of Composite Materials (ASCM), the Aeronautical Society of India (ASI), and the Association of Computational Mechanics (USACM). Dr. Reddy is a member of the editorial boards of more than a dozen journals, including the ASME Journal of Nonlinear Mechanics, the International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, and the International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids.
He is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures, as well as one of Internatio's chief editors.
