Ireland by David Herman

This guide describes 30 walks of different lengths and degrees of difficulty, from short, easy strolls to tough mountain traverses. The routes are grouped in four areas - the east, covering Wicklow, the Galtees, Comeraghs and Mournes; the north-west, covering Donegal and Sligo; the west, covering Galway, Mayo and Clare, and the south-west, covering Kerry. Detailed route descriptions and maps are provided for each walk, together with information on the features of interest along the way.
David Herman is a professor in the English department at Ohio State University. The editor of the journal Storyworlds, his recent publications include Basic Elements of Narrative and Story Logic: Problems and Possibilities of Narrative (Nebraska 2002). Contributors: Elizabeth Bradburn, Nicholas Dames, Monika Fludernik, F. Elizabeth Hart, David Herman, Leslie Lockett, Alan Palmer, David Vallins, and Lisa Zunshine.
