Lane Smith is a bestselling author and illustrator. He is best known in the UK for his brilliantly quirky and silly collaborations with Jon Scieszka, in particular for the multi award-winning The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales. In 2017 Lane won the prestigious CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal for his book There Is a Tribe of Kids. Lane lives in a small town in rural Connecticut with his wife Molly, a picture book designer.
