Iyengar Yoga by Judy Smith

Iyengar yoga is an effective antidote to the stresses of modern lifestyles. This book explains the origins and philosophy of Iyengar yoga, giving advice on how to begin, when to practise and what equipment you will need. It shows over 100 easy-to-follow yoga sequences in step-by-step detail, in more than 400 photographs.
Judy Smith was born and educated in South Africa. Judy began using yoga in the early 1970s to correct her posture and, after having children, trained as a teacher at the prestigious Iyengar Yoga Institute in London, qualifying in 1989. Having trained to a senior level, Judy teaches classes all over London and regularly visits the mother institute in Pune, India, where she attends courses taught by B.K.S. Iyengar, his daughter Geeta, and his son, Prachant.
