Caroline Plaisted is a writer, editor and experienced anthologist. Her father, aunt and sister are all professional ballet dancers, and Caroline herself trained at the Royal Ballet School before turning her energies to children's publishing. She has been published by Bloomsbury, Scholastic, Hodder and Piccadilly Press. She lives in Kent. Patrice Aggs was born in Detroit, Michigan, but moved to London to study Fine Arts at the City & Guilds Art School. She works full-time as a painter, illustrator and printmaker. She has illustrated many books for children, including The Sleepy Book, Soft and Noisy, Why Count Sheep? and The Visitor, as well as The Kingfisher Treasury of Princess Stories. She lives in Sussex.
