Lancashire Waterways by Gordon Biddle
It was a perfect walk. The sun was shining, and there was no mud. Amble and Badger had chased balls and sticks until Mrs Pullalong and Mrs Poser were worn out and it was time to go home.
It was a happy group that left the Wild Open Plains. Everyone was ready for rest and a drink. And possibly some treats.
Then, as they returned home, tragedy struck.
Life would never be the same again.
Read about what happens next to Amble and his family and friends.
It will surprise you.
