Lao Tzu Qigong by Kenichi Shioda
This book presents Master Shioda's interpretation of the poems written by Lao Tzu in The Book of the Path and the Virtue as an attempt to help learners of the Qigong practice to better understand its philosophy. Qigong is a technique used to introduce, in our body, the Chi that exists in nature, called the Great universe.
Kenichi Shioda was born in 1947 in the city of Yokohama, Kanagawa province, Japan. He has immigrated to Brazil in 1974, living permanently in the city of Sü¾Œ¶”¼o Paulo. His master in Taoist Qigong was Liu Pai Lin. He received lessons of external Qigong (therapeutic Qigong) and Chiropractic from Master Yoshitsugu Hayashi. He was granted an official degree as a Tai Chi Chuan master (Liu Pai Lin style), as well as Baguazhang master (Pa Kua Tsam style). He was president of the Shioda Institute, located in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil. In 1993, he was decorated by the Brazilian government with the Professor Hideyo Noguchi Collar, and in 1994 with the Gra-Cruz Medal. Kenichi Shioda presented lectures and courses at Sü¾Œ¶”¼o Paulo University (USP), Federal University of Paraü¾™†”¼ba, Tokyo Kogyo University (Japan), Federal University of Dakar (Senegal), Federal University of Cape Verde (Africa), and Consulate-General of Japan, Uruguay. He is the author of Chi Kung Pai Lin and Chiropractic/Seitai with Energization (Paulo's Graphic Press), along with Yoshitsugu Hayashi. The book was originally published in 2007
