Leading Man by Justin Myers
In life, Leo's the best friend, never the leading man, but now he's in the spotlight and all eyes are on him. A masterful new comedy from Justin Myers, author of The Fake-Up, The Magnificent Sons and The Last Romeo.
This is Justin Myers' best novel yet, a funny and brutally honest look at relationships in all their formsWitty, relatable and with real depth. I devoured it. * Louise Hare *
Leading Man is just what I needed: it's snappy, sharp, perceptive, and brim-full of wit and heart. I laughed out loud several times and genuinely did not know what to expect. It's messy reality, but much better. * Julie Cohen *
A sweet, funny and moving read * Stylist *
A fun and engaging modern romance * Best *
I completely adored Leading Man - the writing is rife with Justin's gorgeous trademark humour and I didn't stop laughing . . . and then crying. I can't wait for the world to read this book, and I will be recommending it to everyone I know. * Lucy Vine *
A masterpiece of light and dark - it's hugely emotionally resonant and it tackles serious themes with real skill. But it's ferociously funny, too. I laughed, I cried, I savoured every Sondheim reference - and when I finished I wanted to give it a standing ovation. * Daisy Buchanan *
Leading Man is as hilarious as you'd expect from the king of the witty one liner, but it's also bursting with heart and soul. This is Justin Myers' best novel yet! * Laura Price *
Incredibly funny, painful, thoughtful, real. It was such a pleasure to turn the pages and watch Justin Myers handling a challenging, complex story with such totally consummate skill * Emma Hughes *
Leading Man is unputdownable - deliciously cutting, darkly funny and wonderfully observed. Pitch perfect and totally compelling, this is Justin's best yet * Laura Kay *
Hilarious jokes, characters you desperately want to hang out with and an emotional depth that means you will never forget Leo's story. Justin is one of our smartest, most perspicacious writers. He's hugely entertaining . . . Leading Man shines like a star * Veronica Henry *
