Learn to Fair Isle Crochet by Karen Ratto-Whooley

Fair Isle isn't just for knitters anymore! This great book will teach you this wonderful technique of color change. By using single crochet and carrying your yarn behind or working over the yarn, you will be able to follow the colored charts easily. Included are seven beautiful designs with easy-to-follow instructions, tips and charts. Projects are made using DK, chunky and medium worsted weight yarns and include fingerless gloves, a cowl, hat, purse, leg warmers, pocket shawl and a scarf. Skill Level: Intermediate.
Karen Whooley learned to Crochet from her Italian grandmother in 1974 at the age of 7. Her "Nonna" couldn't read English patterns, so Karen learned to create items from pictures. Self taught to read and write patterns, she sold her first two designs in 1998 to Annie's Attic. 14 years later, Karen is an award winning designer and instructor. She has designs published in many magazines and books, her own independent pattern line and travels the US teaching her popular crochet classes.
