Stephens, S. J.: - S.J. Stephens is a transplant from Southeastern Ohio to the coast of North Carolina. She holds a MA in English from Northern Kentucky University and a BA in Communications from the College of Mount St. Joseph. She is currently working toward an MFA in poetry from UNCW. Stephens has published poems in The Licking River Review, S.O.S Art, and a Sugared Water. Deeply influenced by the natural world and the beautiful landscapes of Cincinnati and Wilmington, it is her desire to write with the honesty, bravery, and humanity of other female poets.
