Andy Thompson has been fascinated by trucks, vehicles, and vans for as long as he can remember, with a special interest in the lesser-known brands and industries. In his lifetime of motoring, he has owned more than seventy different automobiles, from Cumbria to Bulgaria, Shropshire to the Sahara. His previous works, Cars of the Soviet Union and Cars of Eastern Europe, have received widespread acclaim and have been translated into a number of languages. Andy has also worked as a disc jockey for Radio Caroline, as a housing director for local authorities and housing associations, and as a housing markets expert for the Audit Commission.
