Long Stretch at First Base by Matt Christopher

Bobby is worried that his brother, Kirby, won't be chosen to play first base for the All-Star team. It seems the Redbirds' other first baseman, Tony, is a better all-round player. But Bobby is convinced that with a little help, Kirby would be the obvious choice. Soon Bobby sees a chance.
