She is the author of the dark fantasy and historical novels The Borgia Bride, The Scarlet Contessa, The Devil's Queen, and others. Kalogridis was born in Florida and holds a B.A. She has a bachelor's degree in Russian and a master's degree in linguistics, and she spent eight years teaching English as a second language at The American University before retiring to write full-time.
