Perhaps the best loved illustrator of comic cats of the twentieth century. Born in 1860 Wain became a household name for his cat illustrations in the 2890s.
Rodney Dale acquired his first Louis Wain picture, almost by accident, in 1966 but was unable to find much out about the artist at the time.
