Lucky Strikes...Again by Robert W Lucky
""" Lucky's book...makes me laugh again and again...""--Bill Moyers, Public Affairs Television, Inc. Bob Lucky, author of the widely acclaimed ""Reflections"" column in Spectrum magazine, provides a humorous, nostalgic collection of ten years worth of his own reflections on typical situations engineers encounter during their careers. Spiced with 20 per cent new anecdotes and personal experiences, LUCKY STRIKES...AGAIN takes good-natured gibes at corporate bureaucrats while offering some not-so-subtle advice on ways to circumvent the bureaucracy and gives the bureaucrats some hints on when to look the other way."
Bob Lucky got his Ph.D. at Purdue a great many years ago. After three decades at Bell Labs he has recently joined Bellcore where he is Vice-President, Applied Research. He lives in Fair Haven, New Jersey, in an old house on a pleasant river. He and his wife Joan have two children and two small, white dogs. He plays the violin and piano and is an enthusiastic biker. His technical field is communications, in which he has authored a textbook as well as the more recent, semi-technical book entitled Silicon Dreams.
