M.I.L.K. by Kim Phuc

This third volume of powerful photographs completes the trio celebrating the human capacity for love. This is personified in the prologue by Kim Phuc who describes how the famous photograph of herself as a nine-year-old girl, fleeing from the effects of the war in Vietnam, has changed her life and taught her to forgive and love. The 100 breathtaking photographs in LOVE have been chosen from 17,000 entered by both professional and amateur photographers from 164 countries in the most ambitious photographic competition ever staged: the M.I.L.K. Collection - Moments of Intimacy, Laughter and Kinship, judged by award-winning photographer Elliott Erwitt. These photographs depict the joy, heartbreak and love that shape and make up our lives.
Kim Phuc is the girl in the famous Vietnam war photograph, running down a road screaming from the burns of a napalm bomb. The Vietnamese authorities used her for propaganda for many years until she defected to Canada where she now lives with her husband and two young children.
