Stephen Blauer went to Amherst College in Massachusetts. Following graduation, he traveled widely throughout Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, observing cultural variances in health. After he returned to the United States, Stephen joined the staff of Boston's renowned Hippocrates Health Institute, where he worked under Ann Wigmore, the institute's founder. He was the institute's director for two years. Stephen has continued to travel, observe, and learn after leaving the institute.
He is the coauthor of the best-selling The Macrobiotic Way and has written five books in the field of holistic health. Stephen and his family currently live in a Boston suburb.
