Made in France: Knitting by Hikaru Noguchi

Inspired by her love of French style, Hikaru Noguchi has created 31 projects to knit and crochet in her typically sophisticated yet quirky style. Scarves, caps, mittens, small brooches and wraps but also booties and slippers, jumpers, a few cushions and a throw-blanket for long winter nights. Noguchi's use of traditional stitches in unusual colours and textures make these original knits the ones you'll want to make and wear this winter. Made in France Knitting is also full of little things to crochet, cut out or sew so you can embellish your creations.
Hikaru Noguchi is a Japanese designer who works in London under her own label Le mouflon toqu. She has lived in England since 1989 when she moved there to study constructed textiles at Middlesex University. She has collaborated with a number of British designers including Tom Dixon and Top Shop and undertaken design projects for Barneys, Browns, Paul Smith Women and Takashimaya New York. Noguchi believes in creating clothing and accessories for women and children in a very natural, cosy and comfortable style.
