Rory, the polar bear is extremely excited. 'When will we see the magic sky?' he asks his parents every morning. But every morning it isn't quite time yet. Rory passes the days fishing with his dad, sledging with friends and learning to swim. Then, at last the day of the magic sky arrives. Lucy Richards is an up and coming picture book illustrator and she has enjoyed great success with this delightful story. She won the Hallmark 'Emerging Talent' award in 2001, and this year won the coveted Gold Medal in the Practical Pre-School Awards. Lucy says she finds her inspiration from her family and friends, from childhood memories, the people she has met and the pets she has rescued. She lives in Bristol in a house she shares with friends.
