He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a bachelor's degree in teaching, a master's degree in theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a doctorate in ministry from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. He worked with the Canadian National Baptist Convention as a national worship consultant for four years and is now the director of foreign ministries for Blackaby Ministries International. Tom has written four years of devotional essays for Home Life magazine and most recently coauthored The Family God Uses with his wife, Kim. They currently reside near Vancouver, Canada, with their three children.
