Marks' Essentials of Medical Biochemistry by Michael A Lieberman
Based on the Marks' Basic Medical Biochemistry, this book is streamlined to focus only on the essential biochemical concepts, while maintaining intuitively organized chapters centered on hypothetical patient vignettes and icons for navigation.
A graduate of Yale College, MICHAEL LIEBERMAN holds medical and doctoral degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a research pathologist interested in the molecular basis of disease, and he chairs the Department of Pathology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. In 1991 he was co-winner of the Houston Poetry Fest's Juried Competition, and Thorn Books brought out his chapbook Praising With My Body in 1992. A History of the Sweetness of the World is his first full-length collection. He is married to Susan Abel Lieberman, a nonfiction writer; they have two grown sons.
