Susan Meddaugh worked for ten years at a publishing house, first as a designer, then as an art editor, and eventually as an art director, before going freelance as an illustrator and children's book author. Susan is the author and illustrator of a number of successful children's books, including Martha Talks, which was named a New York Times Best Illustrated Book in 1992. Her Martha Talks book series was transformed into a PBS Kids TV show that won an award. She resides in the town of Sherborn, Massachusetts.
