John Rees is a writer, broadcaster, and activist. He is the author of seven major titles and his latest book, The Leveller Revolution, was published by Verso. His forthcoming major study of popular politics in the English Revolution, The Fiery Spirits, will also be published by Verso in early 2025. He is a Visiting Research Fellow at Goldsmiths, University of London, a co-founder of the Stop the War Coalition, and a spokesperson for the Peoples Assembly.
