Mark M. Hanna, born in 1953 in Hinsdale Illinois to a military family. Conceived in Naples Italy and shipped back to the states 8 months after conception on a naval destroyer, Mark's parents moved around until his father's death to cancer when he was 6. Living in Inglewood California with his widowed mother adjacent to Hollywood Park horse race track, the horses beckoned Mark into a life pursuing his passion, ultimately, the Arabian horse. Through heartbreak, triumph, defeat and perseverance, Mark pursued his dream following a path contrary to his innate voice that asked him to have courage, be kind and true to himself. This path resulted in damaging the horses mental and spiritual welfare. Mark experienced an epiphany that resulted in a 180 degree path moving him towards a more sensual, spiritual and natural understanding of the nature of the horses he loved so much. Mark has dedicated his life to helping change the culture of the youth, newcomers and existing horseman of the world from fear and intimidation to listening to the horses that indeed whisper in our ears. Mark is known as The Horse Listener .
