Mechanics of Ice Failure by Ian Jordaan
Featuring real-world examples and practical methodology, this rigorous text explores time dependence in the mechanics of ice. Emphasizing use of full scale data, and implementing risk-based design methods, mechanical theory is combined with design and modelling.
Ian Jordaan is a consultant to C-CORE, and Professor Emeritus at Memorial University, St John's, Canada. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and has received the Horst Leipholz and Casimir Gzowski Medals, the P.L. Pratley Award, as well as several awards for best papers.
