Meetings at the Edge by Stephen Levine
'Let this book tear your heart open. But see beyond the individual suffering to the holding that creates our pain. This is a book of shared learning, of letting go, of entering into the edgelessness of being that lies just beyond the edge of our old concepts and shopworn ideas, of our deeply imprinted fears and self-doubt.' 'These are stories of those who have been brought to their edge. Each has taken a step into unexplored territory, and entered the no man's land of uninvestigated life. These are our meetings at the edge, at the point from which all growth originates - these are stories of the first faltering beyond our fears, beyond our image of who we are, into the direct experience of life.' From the author's introduction. 'Stephen's work with the grieving and the dying is amongst the most skilful and compassionate that I am aware of.'
