Menuhin by Tony Palmer
A biography of Yehudi Menuhin, which explores the background to Menuhin's story and attempts to explain how, after the collapse of his first marriage and the horrors of the war, Menuhin's playing seemed to lose its magic. The book presents a clear and sympathetic portrait of Menuhin.
After leaving the RAF where he was on the Test and Development staff of the Empire Air Navigation School at Shawbury, Tony Palmer has spent all his working life teaching civil aviation navigation subjects both in the United Kingdom and abroad. He was attached to the College of Air Training, Hamble where he was eventually Head of Ground Training.
He worked closely with the late Roy Underdown, former Principal of the College of Air Training, and previous author of this and other books in the Ground Studies for Pilots series. Tony Palmer is still actively engaged in teaching as the Director of Training with Airline Training Associates, Ltd.
