Kamel Daoud is an Algerian journalist who works for the Quotidien d'Oran, the country's third largest French-language newspaper. The novel's international rights have been sold in twenty countries. The Meursault Investigation will be produced as a dramatic adaption at the 2015 Festival d'Avignon, and a feature film will be released in 2017.
