Michelangelo by Christof Thoenes

This XL edition traces the extraordinary depth and breadth of Michelangelos work and his ascent to the elite of the Renaissance and art history. Ten richly illustrated chapters cover the artists paintings, sculptures, and architecture, with special focus on the tour de force frescoes of the Sistine Chapel.
“If a visit to the Sistine Chapel is not on the cards, this magnificent book is the next best thing…” * The Sunday Express Magazine *
