Christopher Sykes began dealing in country antiques in 1949. In 1967 he moved to Woburn where, with Sally Lloyd and his wife. Margaret, he produced mail-order catalogues on scientific instruments, old pub and shop signs, and early metalwork. Since 1985 Christopher's Woburn shop has specialized in corkscrews and wine-related antiques; the items are also catalogued for sale to collectors worldwide Christopher is a regular consultant to the Miller's Antiques Price Guide.
