Mr. Thompson was the Founder/President of FTS Systems Inc. of Stone Ridge, an international scientific equipment manufacturer. He sold the company in 1996 and retired in 1998. Prior to establishing his own company he was Executive Vice-President of The VirTis Company Inc of Gardiner, NY, also a scientific instrument manufacturer. He served as an Air Force officer for three years in the communications field. He has published many papers on the subject of Freeze-drying and has lectured internationally on the subject. He and his wife Elizabeth have six children and six grandchildren and live in Kingston, New York.The life of Taylor N.
