He has worked with adolescents for over a decade with experience as a therapist in the inner city, and a special education teacher in a therapeutic school. A student of meditation, he has studied and sat on retreats with many of the great contemporary teachers in both Asia and North America. He recently joined the board of directors at the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy, where he has served on the faculty for the past three years.
