Sharon Rady Rolfes graduated from Florida State University with a master's degree in nutrition and food science. She is a founder member of Nutrition and Health Associates, a resource center that houses a research database on over 1,000 nutrition-related issues. She has taught at Florida State University and coauthored UNDERSTANDING NUTRITION and UNDERSTANDING NORMAL AND CLINICAL NUTRITION, among other college nutrition textbooks. She works as a consultant for several educational programs in addition to writing. She delivers meals to the hungry and destitute in her town as a volunteer. She keeps her dietitian nutritionist registration and membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics current.
