His paranormal detective noir stories, the Grimnoir Chronicles, have also gained critical acclaim, with Hard Magic winning the 2012 Audie Award for Best Paranormal Audio Book, voiced by actor Bronson Pinchot. Correia has worked as a gun dealer, firearms teacher, corporate accountant, nonfiction freelance writer, and commentator.
He is a trained concealed weapons teacher and a competitive shooter. Correia and his patient wife and children live in the Utah mountains.
