Martyn Ashton is a legend in the UK mountain biking community. Originally a cross-country racer, Martyn came from a motorbike trials background. "I loved how I could use this bike to attack obstacles that had never been possible on the push-bikes I'd ridden before", he says, and that love spawned a career: he's been a professional trials rider since 1993. Martyn is currently riding for the Ashton Diamondback trials team and touring the UK. He's a World Expert Biketrials champion and four time British champion, as well as holding the Bike High Jump world record. He was inducted into the Mountain Biking UK Hall of Fame in 2008.
