He has taught and performed in most of Europe's big cities, as well as living in Japan for several years and working as a music critic for a Tokyo newspaper. He founded the Institute of Music, Health, and Education in 1988, and is well-known to the general public thanks to numerous television and radio appearances, as well as international lecture tours. He currently resides in Boulder, Colorado.
