My Participate! journal by Meg Prowting

Journal to accomany Participate! Children can complete the journal and follow their progress through the course
From The Good Bookstall - May 2012 Designed to be used with the Participate! sessions on Discipleship & vocation for 9-14 year olds, this is an excellent little activity book with plenty of scope for real individuality to shine throughThough well guided throughout with lots of interactive and intelligent questions within, it neither condescends or over estimates the level of anyone using it - which given the age range it's designed for is quite important! To be fair it is perhaps more likely to be used with the younger end of the Participate! sessions age range but even the older age range would not be offended by the booklet. The thing I loved most about it though is the colour wheel included in it and the explanation of how sometimes it can be hard to put into words what we feel, but how we can perhaps use colours to represent these hard to define things instead - an excellent, unusual and creatively intelligent inclusion that works on so many positive levels. Something I'm likely to use in many situations from here on out! Reviewed by Melanie Carroll
