
The New York Times' scientific correspondent is John Noble Wilford. He has received two Pulitzer Awards, one in 1984 for space science reporting and the other in 1987 as part of the New York Times team covering the Challenger disaster. In 1985, he was a McGraw Lecturer at Princeton University, and from 1989 to 1990, he was a Professor of Science Journalism at the University of Tennessee. He was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1998. He is a New Yorker.
