
The New Quilt by Dairy Barn Quilt National
The creativity of contemporary quilt makers is celebrated in this book which is an account and description of Quilt National, one of the most prestigious quilting exhibitions in the world. It is organized by the Dairy Barn Cultural Arts Center in Ohio and is a biennial event attended by some of the world's best quilt designers and makers. Illustrated with colour photographs, this book features the 84 quilts that were selected for the 1993 show. They cover a wide range of styles and techniques, and the exuberant colourful designs are indicative of the superb craftmanship involved in creating them. Among the quilts on show are landscape, floral and abstract designs.
Quilt National: - Quilt National was founded in 1979. It has continued to take place bi-annually since that time. The show has been organized by the Dairy Barn of the Southeastern Ohio Cultural Arts Center in Athens, Ohio.
