Nine Lives by Goldie

Cult-status graffiti artist, hip-hop icon, DJ, actor and producer, Goldie is a total original who succeeded in nurturing an extraordinary talent despite a highly damaged childhood. This autobiography reflects the many facets of Goldie's life.
"A fascinating life story" - Lynn Barber -- Observer 20021027 "NINE LIVES has enough diversity, honesty and insight to make it a cut above your average celeb autobiography" -- Venue 20021107 "Candid, outspoken, occasionally harrowing, often hilarious and frequently inspirational" -- The Scotsman 20021108
Goldie was born in Walsall in 1965. His father left soon after he was born and his mother put him into care when he was three. He remained in a succession of institutions and foster homes until he was sixteen. He became a renown graffiti artist and soon after his DJing career exploded. He still DJs at numerous festivals and has a regular legendary Sunday night session in a club in London. He has played the villain Angel in 'EastEnders' and the baddie in 'The World is Not Enough' and 'Snatch'. Having sold 2 million records worldwide, collaborated with the likes of Madonna and David Bowie, and produced artists such as The Fugees, Bjork and the Stone Roses, he is hailed as the most diverse and prominent figure in jungle and drum'n'bass music.
