Jon Nelson is an award-winning television journalist for thirty years based in Atlanta. He graduated from Lakeside High School in Atlanta and Florida State University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Political Science. He has also covered high school athletics for Georgia Public Broadcasting for twenty-six seasons as a host and correspondent for its high school coverage. He is the author of five books about high school and college football in the southeast. He lives in suburban Atlanta with his far-more-pretty wife, Patty, and his furry child - a Pekingese named Trooper.Jon Nelson has worked as a journalist in television, radio, print, and new media for more than 20 years, covering everything from Olympic events to political conventions. For his efforts, he has received numerous honors. He has been a part of Georgia Public Broadcasting's high school programming for the past 13 years.
