Nursing Care of Older People by Andrew Hindle

Nursing care of older people provides a contemporary, evidence based and practical guide to meeting the holistic health needs of older patients in all settings. With a clear and engaging style the authors outline best nursing practice. This is useful for pre and post reg student nurses and qualified staff.
A refreshing read.. from a readers point of view it both informs them of the theory and policy context but also empowers them by suggesting and including practical examples and tools * Danny Walsh, Lecturer, Mental Health, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, The University of Nottingham *
By reading this book I think students will be challenged to consider how they should develop their practice to meet the needs of this group. I feel they would find the practical approach offered to be particularly helpful. * Lisa Poynor, Community Learning Disability Nurse, Community Team for People with Learning disabilities, Surrey and Boarders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust *
Written in a way that would be ideal for a 1st or 2nd year nursing students. * Graham MacIntosh, University of Glasgow *
Relevant, contemporary and easy to read... an excellent overview which would be a good starting point for new readers in the subject. * Gary Blatch, Dementia Strategy Manager, South Essex Partnership Foundation Trust *
