The book deals with the declining church membership that is apparent in western society by describing how God's body of believers can become one assembly. The author attempts to combat the perception that the church hypocritical, self-righteous, intolerant, and divisive. He addresses the fact that many Americans see evangelical church leaders as driven by power and material gain. The book explains how the church can become one through three gifts of eternal life, the truth, and His glory. Knowing, understanding, and experiencing these three gifts is how believers become one.
