Michael Dean holds a history degree from Worcester College, Oxford, as well as an MSc in Applied Linguistics from Edinburgh University and an AIL in German translation. The Crooked Cross (Quaestor, 2000, 2009), Thorn about Spinoza and Rembrandt (Bluemoose Books, 2011), Magic City, a Bildungroman (Odyssey Press new edition 2017), and I, Hogarth (Duckworth-Overlook, 2012) are his novels. He's also published three e-books for Endeavour Press: The Enemy Within (2013), which is about Jewish resistance in the Netherlands during WWII, Hour Zero (2014), and Before the Darknesses (2015), which is about Walther Rathenau. He's also the author of a nonfiction book about Chomsky as well as more than thirty educational products.
