As an American cat in Paris, Paintbrush must learn the ways of the Metro, the cafe, le petit marche and le grand diner. He travels with his friend, a wooden toy cat on wheels named Mon Ami, and together they have many adventures haunting art supply stores and the great Clingancourt flea market.Jill Butler's art is featured in the Rendez-vous Collection, which includes paper goods, tabletop, and home furnishings. She uses her artistic and linguistic abilities to our benefit in this work. She spent 15 years in France and now splits her time between Connecticut and Normandy. Paintbrush in Paris (Workman, 1994) is another of her works.
