Pass the Jam, Jim by Kaye Umansky
A rhyming picture book in which a group of children prepare for a party. Each child performs his own task perfectly - except for Jim who just can't keep his hands out of the jam pot. The author also wrote "Pongwiffy", which was shortlisted for the "The Guardian" Best Children's Novel Award.Kaye Umansky has written more than 130 novels for children. She has a nice husband (Mo), a nice daughter (Ella), and two crazy cats named Heathcliff and Jeremy that reside with her in London. When asked where she got the idea for Clover Twig, she stated, I've always been afraid of heights, ever since I got caught up a cliff as a kid. Yet, I'd really like to be able to fly! In actual life, I'm sure I'd be terrified stiff in a floating cottage, but I let my characters do it, which is the next best thing. Even writing about it makes me sick to my stomach!
