Graeme Davis is a mediaeval linguist who specializes in northern European and North Atlantic languages and cultures, including Anglo-Saxon, Old High German, Old Norse / Icelandic, and Gothic. He has worked as a lexicographer for the Scottish National Dictionary and lectured in historical linguistics and mediaeval literature at Strathclyde, Manchester Metropolitan, Northumbria, and The Open universities.
