Paul Martin: My World Of Antiques by Paul Martin

Paul Martin, famous for his passion for beautiful furniture, has been the hugely successful TV presenter on BBC1's Flog It! for the past fifteen years.

Paul Martin is a TV presenter and writer, and has become one of the most popular experts on antique furniture on British television since BBC Bristol discovered his talent in front of the camera. He is famously known for shows like BBC1's Britain's Hidden Heritage, BBC2's Paul Martin's Handmade Revolution, and ITV's I Never Knew That About Britain. Since 2002 Paul has been the face of BBC1's successful series Flog It! From very early on Paul dedicated his career to art and antiques. After graduating from Falmouth College in art and woodwork, he worked as a scenic painter on film sets at Pinewood Studios. Later he ran a pitch on London's Portobello Road, worked as an antiques props stylist for magazines like Marie Claire and New Woman, and designed antique sets for TV shoots for The Clothes Show and Granada TV.

Paul lives in Wiltshire with his wife Charlotte Godfrey and his two children, Dylan and Meredith. The Martins and their home feature regularly in the BBC1 daytime series Countryfile Diaries, showing their passion for beautiful indoor and outdoor designs. Paul loves travelling to visit auction houses and meet craftsmen: 'I have learned so much. Meeting people in the antiques trade or people who make their living by skills learned over decades is always a treat.'
