After twenty years in Castro's prisons, Juan Perez comes to America and encounters culture shock, unpredictable characters, and confusion as he and his companion in exile, Dottie, search for the Perez family in Miami.Christine Bell was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She is presently the Director of the Transitional Justice Institute as well as a Professor of Public International Law at the University of Ulster's Magee Campus. She earned an L.L.M. in law from Selwyn College, Cambridge, in 1988. from Harvard Law School (1990), where he was awarded a Harkness Fellowship. She went on to become an attorney in New York, where she worked for a time at Debevoise & Plimpton.
She was the Director of Queen's University of Belfast's Centre for International and Comparative Human Rights Law from 1997 until 2009. She has worked in non-governmental organizations and was the chairman of the Committee on the Administration of Justice, a Belfast-based human rights organization, from 1995 to 1997. She was also a founding member of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission, which was founded under the conditions of the Belfast Agreement. Peace Agreements and Human Rights (Oxford University Press, 2000) is her book.
