The Perfect Baby by Tony Bradman

Lucy's baby brother, William, is noisy and smelly, so Lucy insists he is returned to the hospital. She'd like to try another baby brother instead. But after trying a succession of babies from the New Baby Department, who turn out to be too boring, too hairy, and even too scary, it dawns on Lucy that maybe baby William wasn't so bad after all.
Tony Bradman Tony's first book was published in 1984 and, in 1987, he became a full-time author of both children's and adult's books. He has written fiction, poetry and edited a number of highly successful anthologies, and continues to write about and review children's books, mostly for The Daily Telegraph. As a life-long Beatles and John Lennon fan, he has also written a profile of the singer for children. Holly Swain Holly studied Illustration at the University of the West of England, Bristol and completed an MA in Narrative Illustration and Editorial Design at the University of Brighton. She lives in Hove, Sussex with her husband Matt and daughters Rose and Olivia. She loves gardening and walking on the beach near her home.
